I, Apollonia Sierra, am the owner of Forsythia Acupuncture & Herbs and am proud to serve the local and surrounding communities of Luray while bringing a new sense of health and wellness.
My passion for acupuncture began several years ago after receiving treatment from an acupuncturist in Los Angeles. I walked into the office with severe back pain and walked out feeling like a new person. It made me look at medicine with a completely different lens, and it forever had me intrigued. Years later, a special person in my life passed away, and tragedy sparked something deep within me. I knew there had to be a sensible solution than the usual treatment protocols. A spark of curiosity led to a full-fledged career pursuit and led me to the East Coast learning from the best in the world.
I acquired my Bachelor's degree in Integrative Health at Arizona State University earning Summa Cum Laude. I obtained my Master's degree in Oriental Medicine at the Virginia University of Integrative Medicine. During this time, I was an intern for two years with some of the best and most world-renowned acupuncturists.
I specialize in acupuncture and Chinese herbology, offering a unique blend of traditional techniques and modern knowledge to provide you with the utmost care. With a deep enthusiasm for holistic healing, I am dedicated to restoring energy and balancing your body and mind. I want to educate my patients in a way that is easily digestible and thought-provoking. Prevention is key, diet is pivotal, and changing the dynamic in how we love ourselves is everything.
